New Album

What a weekend! On January 16-19th Klezwoods embarked on an adventure. Specifically a journey to Syracuse, NY to record our next record. The whole band traveled to More Sound Studios to lay down a 14 song album, featuring all original compositions by different members in the band. Tracking was inspiring, hard work, fruitful and overall a blast! Making it all the more easy and wonderful was the incredible Jason “Jocko” Randall as our sound engineer. One of the most hospitable and brilliant engineers in the business, he helped the session move along with ease and professionalism.
We all can not wait to share the new music with you, which is scheduled to come out next Fall. Until then check out tour dates below and we hope to see you out at a concert!

Welcome to!

Klezwoods is an amalgam of strings, horns and percussion that melds the spirit of traditional klezmer and Balkan music with modern grooves, improvisation and original repertoire. Every player comes from a different background, which creates the band’s unique sound and style. They originally got their start some years back when local Cambridge, MA haunt, Atwoods Tavern, wanted music for a “Klezmer Christmas” event. Since that fateful day, Klezwoods has played The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., The Helsinki Klezmer Festival in Finland, and tours regularly all over the world playing festivals and concerts!
